about

Here is the track "Fermi or You" from my ArtistShare® project CONCERTO FOR FOLDED SPACE. All of the pieces are based programmatically on my sci-fi novel THE DOVER STONE.

On "Fermi or You" we hear from guest artist DELUXE Bob Minzter on tenor sax, myself on trombone, the mighty trombone group Maniacal 4 and of course: my group, The Eclectric Band: Stockton Helbing: drums, Daniel Pardo: flutes, Noel Johnston and Ryan Davidson: guitars, and Braylon Lacy: bass.

lyrics

Here is the programatic back story from my book THE DOVER STONE (can't know the jam without a program!)

The ET, SETI, and UFOlogy community have long had to grapple with Enrico Fermi's famous paradox "Where is Everybody?" In essence: if the universe is SO very old, and if there are civilizations older than we are (mathematically HIGHLY likely) then they would have had time to colonize the entire Milky Way Galaxy. Where are they? In my DOVER STONE story "Fermi or You" young astrophysicist James Knox is on a mission to find out why we haven't heard from our Galactic community. And guess what? He finds out!

(Ooohh...now you REALLY want to buy the book, no?)
